George Ball ran one of the toughest mail routes in the world in the 1920s,
from Atlin, British Columbia through the Cassiar Mountains
to Telegraph Creek. His son married my aunt, Nancy Ball, who for over 4 decades has been welcoming guests to
the family ranch in the mountains downriver from
Telegraph Creek. The photo is from a postcard showing George leaving Atlin.
