This is a journal of the travels of a little toy husky named Nanook, who began exploring the world with me in the Fall of 2011. I had a Nanook that travelled with me a few years ago, but he was stolen on a cruise ship we were on in 2006, and I’d been without one until getting this little guy. My history with Nanook's siblings goes back to 1998, when I ran an auction for the Yukon Quest sled dog race. Each musher carried a Nanook, and those 29 toy huskies raised a total of $11,000 for the society! There were a total of 1,000 Yukon Quest Nanooks ordered, most to be sold in the Yukon Quest stores - see this page for an explanation.

Nanook wasn't the first husky I traveled with - this beautiful Steif husky was with me in Germany in 1992, and still lives with me in the Yukon.

This fairly large, unnamed fellow was with me in my motorcoach in 2004.
